Virtual Badger Youth Camp will take place in an online platform that will allow campers an opportunity to learn new things in a new way.
Virtual Youth Camp will take place over 3 days in August (4-6) from 0900 to 1130 each day. Registered campers will receive a link to each days activities 1 week prior to the start of Virtual Youth Camp.
Think of this as camp in a box. Each registered camper will receive a box of supplies containing all of the material needed to complete all of the tasks. Each camper will need their own box. Inside the box are everything needed for camp: books, markers, crafting supplies, material for nature classes, and a heavy duty bag to contain all of the items. There is a nominal $10.00 fee per camper to help cover expenses.
The tentative schedule:
04 August - Wellness day: activities include yoga, meditation, and mindfulness training, resilience.
05 August - Arts and craft day: learn about charcoal drawing from a local artist and create a patriotic picture for your room.
06 August - Outdoor/Nature day: learn about using a compass, identifying flora and fauna using the nature guides, create para-cord bracelets.
Please note that participation in Virtual Youth Camp is limited to dependent children of currently serving service members.
